Madeline and JD wanted to remodel their front yard, upgrading the raised vegetable beds to something more functional and sustainable, while expanding the growing space for herbs, flowers, and perennial fruits. With a 1yr old daughter, they especially wanted a stimulating and safe space for nature exploration and sensory play.

The raised beds are metal Vego brand, with a simple automated irrigation system running through them, for easy water management. We repurposed leftover flagstone for a sweet path through the beds from the sidewalk to the front door as an extra access point. The sensory area is filled with culinary areas, a strawberry patch, and a variety of perennial flowers for a seasonal rhythm of different blooms.
